Demands to be Heard

This post follows on from Taking My Body For Granted.

I turn 55 this year. Ignoring my body is becoming difficult. It seems after a half century of carting me around, my body is fed up.

I toss and turn all night waking up exhausted. My hip aches if I sit too long. I have gained weight. I have added tinnitus and chronic sinusitis to my list of ‘conditions’. I can’t see shit without my cheater glasses.

I bloat easily and lately suffer from acid indigestion. When I grab too many chocolate bars from the snack bar at work, my knees and knuckles ache.

My body demands to be heard.
