Food Intolerance Not a Thing

This post follows on from – Mocking My Body.

Back in the sixties and seventies, food intolerance was not a thing. My mother even had her university degree in food science, yet she never once associated my ailments with food.

The chronic colic was likely caused by the formula; breastfeeding was frowned upon. Because my teeth did not line up at all, I survived on milk. Copious amounts of milk; hence, the excruciating gut pain and loose bowels. Can you say lactose intolerance?

Can you say compromised immune system?

Hello throat and ear infections, parasitic infections, cystic acne and rosacea.

This was all something one simply accepted and endured.
